More Proxying Fun: Confrontation Miniatures for Battle Lore, Part 4

My buddy, Willy, just acquired the out of print, pre-painted miniatures from Rackham Entertainment.

After ooohing and ahhing over the fine scultping and paint jobs (not bad at all for pre-painted) we immediately dragooned these bad boys and proxied them for Battle Lore (2nd Edition). Much fun were had by all!

OK, fine, these aren't Confrontation but Heroscape minis

More Proxying Fun: Ars Victor with MechWarrior Minis, Part 3

As I continue to play and enjoy Ars Victor, I've been on the hunt for the discontinued and out-of-print MechWarrior Clix figures that are suited well for this conversion.

Just pop them off their bases and presto!

Command and Colors Ancients: Lake Trasimenus

Another round of hybrid gaming converting the Command and Colors: Ancients board and blocks game into a miniatures game using 6mm miniatures from Baccus and the Hexon terrain system. All the minis and Hexon tiles were supplied by Mikey.

Note the use of string to demarcate the battlefield zones

Obviously a more visually satisfying gaming experience
playing with minis on a terrain table, IMHO and of course, the
Command and Colors system is perfect for this type of conversion

This was definitely a challenging terrain for the Romans

Refurbishing Old Models Part 3

I finally found the proper materials to simulate metal grate flooring that's perfect for skirmishing my 28mm sci-fi miniatures. Go down to your local hardware store and look for 2'x4' clear prismatic plastic lenses. I bought 3 panels that can be arranged to make a 4'x6' playing area. More than enough for skirmishing.

They come in different patterns but I found this particular grid to work well.
The perfect spray paint to give the right amount of texture.
And Voila!
Anyone recognize those rusty robots?
