WW2 Pacific War Reenactment

Still in keeping with our WW2 flavor of the month, my buddy, Mike and I went to Fredericksburg, Texas to visit the National Museum of the Pacific War. This place was great and I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Or not and just want to visit.

It was quiet the facility chock full of great exhibits both digital and static plus a great reenactment of the US Marines attacking Tarawa. The reenactment also featured the explanation of the standard weapons used by the Marines and their demonstration.

It all culminated in this battle scene.

  1. That's a great museum, and Fredericksburg is a wonderful little town.

  2. Great video, better than learning history through just reading a book. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I have fond memories of Frederisckburg, TX. As I recall, you could buy a beer and walk down the street with it. The museum was interesting, but there wasn't anything going on like that at the time. Not everyday you see a reenactment with a flamethrower.

  5. @Desert Scribe, I agree to both.
    @Ubique Matt, @Zombie Ad, it was really quite the visual and educational treat.
    @Michael Peterson, you can actually feel the heat of the flamethrower from the audience.
    @Paul oftheManCave, you're welcome.
